I am a life-long learner who’s as committed to my own growth and development as that of the students I tutor. As a holder of two masters, in Physiology and Psychology, I am very aware of the challenges intrinsic to the learning process. As a former college instructor, who’s worked both abroad and in the US, I have the experience and confidence to work with students of many backgrounds and academic histories.
I have a BS in Biochemistry from UMass Boston, where I conducted original research at the undergraduate level. After graduating from the Boston University School of Medicine with a Master’s in Physiology I taught Biological Sciences at the college level for a number of years, before returning to the university to pursue a Master’s in Counseling Psychology. I worked as a Counselor Psychologist for a number of years, bringing all my theoretical insight into my practice. In fact, I approach tutoring in such a way that it can make explicit the practical dimension of the theoretical information.
