I have a Ph.D. in Theater from University of Wisconsin-Madison and have been teaching at elite universities for the past ten years, including Wesleyan, Harvard, Brown, and Yale, where I currently teach in Theater Studies. I also have a background in K-12 education, and enjoy working with younger children. While I was in graduate school I trained undergrad Education majors in using drama in the classroom, and I have had a lot of experience teaching academic subjects through the arts. My academic life has been split between reading/writing intensive work and creative work in dance and theater, and I always try to incorporate creative activities in the learning process. I have two little boys, one 5 1/2 and one 4, and I'm looking for ways to continue teaching but stay closer to home. I can help out your child with most subjects in the humanities or social sciences, depending on the level.
