I am a mother of 3 sons and a full time Math Coach in a public school district. Prior to this job I was a 4th grade teacher at a charter school for 6 years. Helping students feel successful with learning new material is just one of the reasons I love teaching. I have been fortunate to work one on one with many students in my role as a math coach. I find that there is so much success when a teacher is able to make a connection with the students and the teacher is able to figure out how the child learns and what it is the child understands or doesn't understand.
I am Licensed by the State of Massachusetts with an Elementary Mathematics License. I currently work as a math coach for a public school where I provide Professional Development for teachers in the subject of math as well as work one on one or in small groups with students who may be struggling in math.
Certified K-6 Elementary teacher. Taught 4th grade for 6 years before becoming a math coach.
I've been responsible for transitioning to the Common Core Mathematics at my school. On a district level, I helped to write the Common Core based Mathematics curriculum.
