In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a Massachusetts License for teaching middle school mathematics. However, I have taught math k-10 on frequent basis for past 16 years. I follow the Massachusetts curriculum framework and add extra materials if needed. I also apply Howard Gardner's Multiple Intelligence Theory in order to teach more efficiently.
I have played chess for 30 years and coached private chess lessons for 20 years. I can teach basic, intermediate and advance chess in manual as well as in computer base. The lessons involve: 1. memorizing moves visually and by formula; 2. chess puzzles and problem solving; 3. selected moves from grand masters; and 4. brief history of chess.

I have been coaching soccer for the last 16 years (to age 6-18 years old children and all levels of Basic, Intermediate and advance). I assisted coaching GU14-17 at F C Fusion which competes in Massachusetts premiere league division one. I also co-coach u-14 girls at Cambridge Soccer Club. I have also experienced co-coaching with AC Milan Youth Coaches at an Arlington Summer Soccer Camp. Currently I coaching for Boston Soccer Academy which runs clinics and summer camps as well as Lexington United. Both Clinics are run by professional coaches.
I have been playing and coaching volleyball for the last 20 years. I admire the game and I believe there are methods for everyone to learn the sport in easy and fun way. I coach basics, intermediate and advance volleyball skills (indoor/outdoor) to groups as well as individuals.
