About Alethea

I provide specialized, 1-to-1 remediation, mentoring and tutoring for clients ranging from ages 4 to adult. My services are geared to include complete non-readers, as well as, students with various learning styles and have been proven particularly successful for individuals with learning challenges, including ADHD, Dyslexia, Autism, Hyperlexia and CAPD.

I am a certified clinical literacy tutor and have more than 10 years of experience working with various learning styles and populations. I graduated from Tufts University in 2005 and hold a BS in Clinical Psychology and a BA in Child Development from the university’s renowned Eliot Pearson School. I currently attend the Harvard Graduate School of Education and will receive my MA in Human Development and Psychology in May, 2017.

I am published in multiple scientific and professional journals and have a wealth of experience in editing, proofreading and have worked for nearly 3 years as a clinician-tutor for a Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes which specializes in reading remediation and phonetics.

I have worked with students with a multitude of varying special needs for 10+ years.

For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students.
