Hi, my name is Attah, an elementary school teacher in a public school. I have an M.Ed. from Simmons College, and have been teaching internationally and in the U.S. since 1992. I have also delved extensively in special education, especially Autism and have a lot experience in this field for almost a decade. If you want someone who is knowledgeable about the best curriculum and the evidenced-based strategies needed for imparting appropriate skills, do not go any further - I will help you realize your dreams.
I approach my teaching assignments with diligence, compassion, and respect for all cultures with the belief that all my students can reach the pinnacle with the necessary resources, guidance, and support. As a student who had to rely on others' sacrifice to reach where I am currently, I see tutoring as an opportunity for someone to get the little nudge, guidance, motivation, and the 'Yes-I-Can' attitude needed to flourish and succeed in life. I will leave no stone unturned in gathering resources to help my student achieve whatever goal they set and challenge them. Hi, my name is Attah, an elementary school teacher in a public school. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am a certified ELL/ESL Teacher in MA. I have worked and continue to work with students whose primary language is not English. These students are mostly smart, respectful, and ready to learn. So with my personal and professional experience, I can gather the resources and pedagogical skills best suited for their success.
I am licensed in MA and NC to teach severe special needs Pre-K to 12.
