My greatest strength is that I am a caring and sensitive person who will put 100% of myself into my work.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am a certified Media Specialist (Librarian) grades K-12 with a Masters in Education. I have 24 years of experience in education and have worked with many students at various levels. My goal has always been to help students succeed. Students need help at the elementary level for any number of reasons and I have the experience to provide that help.
I consider myself, a kind and sensitive person and can combine those qualities with a strong background of education and experience. I received my Bachelor's Degree at Simmons College and worked in the field of Education for a while before pursuing my Master's Degree. In doing so, I brought experience to my graduate school pursuit and the knowledge that I truly wanted to pursue my career in Education. I received my Master's Degree at Cambridge College which allowed me to continue working in schools while taking classes. I was then able to immediately bring back to the classroom the information which I learned.
I look forward to hearing from you and working together to achieve success!
I have a strong English background in my undergraduate education including a split minor between English and French and a major in Journalism. I've spent 26 years as a Librarian/Media Specialist using my English skills to assist students in research and writing.
I was an English Minor at Simmons College and have excellent reading skills as a Media Specialist - Librarian - with a Masters in Education.
As an educator for 24 years, I have had great success in helping students develop effective study skills. I have been a Media Specialist/School Librarian throughout my career and therefore have had access to numerous library resources for my students. Once I am able to analyze the weaknesses in a student's study habits, I can move forward with many plans to create and strengthen successful study tasks.
I look forward to working with students in this area as strong study habits are the foundation for learning well!
