Mr. Henry is a good tutor. He is patient, kind, and professional. He listens in order to gather a understanding of what exactly the student has comprehended through his teachings and takes the time to ensure that what he has taught resonates to my student in a manner that is easy to comprehend. For those reasons, I feel that he is a true asset to WyzAnt. He is exactly what a parent looks for in a tutor.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
