Hi!

Firstly: If you are in need of tutoring, but cannot afford the regular test prep prices, please reach out to me. I will work with you.

To be brief, what sets me apart as a tutor is that I have been a high school teacher, as well as a college mental health counselor. I have a bachelor's degree in Secondary Education and English and a master's in Adolescent Psychology with an emphasis in Positive Youth Development - both from Boston College.

To be brief, what sets me apart as a tutor is that I have been a high school teacher, as well as a college mental health counselor. I have a bachelor's degree in Secondary Education and English and a master's in Adolescent Psychology with an emphasis in Positive Youth Development - both from Boston College.

The SAT and ACT are puzzles. They are not tests. There are ways to solve the material that you "don't know" if you know how to get around it. It sounds too good to be true, but I feel that I have shown that in my results. Feel free to take a look. To give you an example, what do you read first on math? Most read the questions first. I find that to be wrong from my 12 years of experience teaching the test. Read answers first. It allows for targeted math practice and elimination. This increases the amount of acetylcholine and dopamine in the brain by allowing for short term rewards and activated active reading. By combining psychology, neurochemistry, and quality teaching, I find that I am better able to support the whole student in improving their ACT or SAT score - fast.

In addition to SAT and ACT prep, I have taught English in South Africa, Ecuador, Ireland, Turkey, and the United States. My travels and meetings with people of all kinds have given me an appreciation for differences in the classroom.

I tutor with my tablet, which allows for mutual screen sharing and for me to write on the test to provide an "in-person" experience. In addition, I create a personalized drive with drills, strategies, and practice tests for each student that I tutor after analyzing areas of growth.

SAT Tutoring

Adam is very patient and gives great feedback and strategies. My daughter enjoys working with him. He is very knowledgeable with SAT tutoring. He is working with her in math, reading, and language. He is good in all three areas.

Excellent Approach to ACT/SAT Tutoring. Would Highly Recommend

Adam has been tutoring Jordan in ALL areas of SAT and ACT prep for about 3 weeks now and I really wish had hired him 2 years ago! He is very experienced and was able to quickly assess Jordan’s skills, identify his areas of weakness and tailor his lessons to meet Jordan’s needs. Jordan is learning a lot of great problem-solving techniques that will no doubt help him a lot in the exams. We plan to continue to work with Adam over the summer to prepare for the ACT in August as Jordan is very comfortable with him and is learning a lot.
