I hold a BA in Political Science and International Health and Master in Public Health in International Health. I also have a TEFL certificate (A grade) and I have served as a tutor at universities for over 3 years. I have spent time teaching in the US, Ecuador, Peru, and the UK. I also speak 4 languages, including 3 fluently (English, Spanish, Polish).
My teaching specialties are English, Spanish, writing (particularly essay and research writing), and conversational Polish lessons. I can also help with more specialized courses relating to public and community health.
I believe in tailoring learning to each individual and I will do everything in my power to make learning fun and educational. I currently can only travel to students' homes to tutor but I hope to have my own space, as well, soon. I do have a 24-hour cancellation policy but I can generally offer make-up classes. My goal is for you to be happy with your experience and to feel like you are making progress. If after our session you are not satisfied, I am happy to offer another session free of charge or a refund.
Feel free to get in touch with any questions or concerns you may have and I look forward to working with you! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
