“**Instructions Worth Their Weight in Gold**”

I am an experienced tutor in math, chemistry, and physics currently working for the Newton Public Schools. I am currently licensed to teach mathematics at the high school and middle school levels, and expect to obtain my certification to teach chemistry later this year. In addition to my experience teaching at the high school level, I also have

Andrew came to my rescue during the last 2 weeks of my 3 college summer courses. I was struggling to keep up with the deadline and decided I needed help. The first meeting with Andrew assured me that he was going to be a good for and give me a great chance of passing the courses. Needless to say, he knew all of the material from physics, pre-calculus, and even chemistry. As a result, I passed all the courses with flying colors. 5 stars for sure!

They worked together so well for 2 hours! Lots of back and forth questions and guidance. Great grade on the Chemistry test after the session! Andrew is wonderful!

Nick had a great first lesson. He felt very comfortable working with Andrew. He is feeling confident already about the material that is being covered.

Andrew is helping my son brush up on some concepts before a placement test. He moves quickly and is good at explaining concepts and strategies. He came very well prepared.

Andrew has been an outstanding SAT and ACT prep tutor for my daughter, a junior in HS. We have worked with a few other tutors on different subjects over the years. Andrew has exceeded our expectations. He is very knowledgeable, has a great teaching style and delivers consistent and excellent work. I would like to recommend Andrew as an excellent tutor and also a smart and intelligent person. It has been a pleasant and beneficial tutoring experience for my daughter.

Andrew is an amazing tutor! My son is dyslexic and tests are very hard for him, but with Andrew's help he got an A in college calculus. Andrew is continuing to tutor my sons (14, 17 and 19) for this semester and I am hesitant to write this review so that I could keep Andrew as our" hidden gem."

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Calculus is a highly practical branch of mathematics with many applications in the natural sciences, economics, and engineering. The good news is that it's not as difficult as it may seem - at least not basic single-variable calculus. I can help you overcome any obstacles you may have with respect to differentiation, integration, and any of their numerous applications. I can also help with related problems of limits, infinite series, and numerical methods for solving basic calculus problems.

I successfully passed Level I of the CFA Exam in June, 2012 and passed Level II of the CFA Exam in June, 2013, each on the first try. Each CFA exam covers an incredible amount of material - I have some basic strategies to offer that will help organize your preparation and maximize your test scores.

I have experience tutoring children in elementary math and am certified to teach mathematics in Massachusetts grades 5-8. I also have experience tutoring children in basic reading, writing, spelling, and handwriting skills.

I have a very strong background in physics and have successfully tutored several students in the subject as well, ranging from introductory high school physics up through AP Physics and first-year college physics, including both classical mechanics and electricity & magnetism.

I scored a perfect 800 on the math portion of the SAT, and routinely score 800 on the math section whenever I take the practice exams. Even if you aren't shooting for 800, the SAT math exam is definitely one where you can markedly improve your score with even just a limited amount of studying and practice. Fortunately, the SAT math exam covers a specific, well-defined set of topics, and tends to ask the same types of questions in the same way year after year. I will help you with the topics that you find the most difficult, and I have some basic strategies to offer that will help you effectively organize your preparation and maximize your test scores.

The SAT reading exam tests your knowledge of vocabulary and reading comprehension. Although I'm not a perfect scorer on this exam, I did get a 710 when I took the exam years ago, and consistently score in the 750-780 range on the reading section whenever I take the practice exams nowadays. I have some basic strategies to offer that will help you effectively organize your preparation and maximize your test scores.
