About Morris

Bio

What I enjoy most about teaching is that every lesson is an opportunity to bring awareness of chemistry to people. I love my subject and believe that everyone can and should know something about chemistry. It's vital to basically every human activity and technology. Chemistry separates us from the animals. Parrots talk. Chimps fight wars. Beavers build dams and houses. But humans can do chemistry, and it started with the first caveperson who figured out fire. Food, clothing, metals,...

Food, clothing, metals, plastics, medicines, everything depends on chemistry. Any day I can help someone learn something about chemistry, or to do some chemistry at the lab bench, is a great day!

I have worked in both chemistry research and teaching for over 20 years. I am experienced with teaching general and AP chemistry on the high school level, have supervised and trained students in university research labs, and have taught recitations and laboratory sections for college courses including general chemistry and bioorganic chemistry.

Patient and knowledgeable!

He's knowledgeable in chemistry! Great at going in depth and explaining my homework with me as well as sends his own examples and charts. First session of tutoring was a charm and will definitely be requesting another session!
