Hi! I'm Lena, and I am a rising sophomore at Harvard College majoring in Biomedical Engineering on the premed track. In high school, I had the privilege of taking 16 AP courses, and earned my AP Capstone Diploma with distinction. I have found that the subjects I enjoy the most aren't always those that come easy to me. When I started college, I began attending tutoring myself, and I have found that getting the extra help can make a subject much more pleasant! I would love to help other students feel the same gratification which comes from achieving something which feels impossible to achieve.
I have two years of experience being a course assistant. I worked directly with students in an Algebra I Honors classroom, as well as in an AP Precalculus course. Throughout the class, I would guide students through practice problems, and help reframe lecture information if necessary. I also have been invited to tutor for the SAT by College Board, and feel confident in my ability to support students studying for standardized tests.
I would love the opportunity to support students as they prepare for their future! I welcome any resources or suggestions from students or parents that will best support the learning process, although I usually lead with a teaching method followed by practice outside of the session. I am easy to reach, so feel free to contact me with any additional questions!
