Leo R. has taught me a lot. We worked on all aspects of the SAT over the summer like SAT math, SAT reading, SAT writing, and lots of SAT strategies. I went through many tutors before Leo and Leo is by far the best on the face of this earth. I'm currently a sophomore and by senior year I expect a 1601/1600.

Right from the onset, Leo showed mastery in his ability to tutor young adults. Within a short period of time, he was able to identify how my son learns, and apply techniques to best prepare for his SAT. He was well prepared with documentation, practice workbooks, websites, and directions on how to best apply learning techniques to optimize my son's SAT score. He was patient as well, and kept a decent pace. We never had to wait for to fit into his tutoring schedule and when we were late a few times, he quickly adjusted his schedule to meet our needs. We applaud Leo on a job well done!

Leo is the best tutor! He answered all my questions and made sure I understood what I needed to do before the SAT Exam!. Would use him again!

My son says he has never learned as much from a tutor as he did with Leo. Sitting down with Leo has greatly boosted my son's confidence in his ability to do well on SAT Math.

Helped my daughter review for SATs. Provided strategies for time management on the test that will be very helpful. My daughter enjoyed working with Leo, he is very enthusiastic about teaching!

Leo is unbelievably patient, knowledgeable and efficient. He delivers the information in a very easy to understand. I cannot say enough great things about him.

Leo is fabulous. We don't want to share him, so don't want to say too much, but everyone needs a Leo if they want to top the SAT 5%'s. (seriously, this guy rocks Math SAT prep: amazing)

Leo has been working with 3 of my children, (yes..Triplets) who all have different strengths and learning styles. He is very flexible in working with each of them, is encouraging and quite patient. His personality is easy going, but he is very thorough. All of my teens are progressing well as Leo assists them through practice tests and follow-up weekly. He has provided many strategies for the math SAT and ACT test taking process and is very fluent with the testing materials, study guides and content of the various tests. As a former Princeton Review tutor, his experience is more specific to understanding the testing models and approaches to answering the questions in a timely manner. Great value and terrific person. Thank you Leo!!

Leo tutored me in SAT math. We went over SAT strategy as well content. He is a great teacher and makes studying for the SAT, feel much more tolerable. His sessions are engaging, and he often uses humour when the material is boring. I strongly recommend using Leo. I have seen my score go up every week and feel much more prepared for the SAT.

Leo has helped me immensely with my test preparation. I used to have significant test anxiety surrounding the quantitative portion of the GRE, but after working with Leo, I feel like I'm good at math for the first time! He puts his students at ease right from the beginning, and approaches problems with intelligence, creativity, and a large helping of humor

Leo is the man, hands down best tutor. He answered all my questions and made sure I understood what I needed to do before I left. Would use him again!

I have been working with Leo to develop/polish my Excel skills. Leo has an excellent command of Excel. We have worked on different business cases. Our lessons included preparation of business modeling, break-even analysis, operating metrics analysis, financial analysis including ROI, Profit/Loss, budget preparation, forecasting and power point presentations. Leo is very efficient and makes good use of time. I would strongly recommend Leo for anyone interested in learning Excel from scratch or in advancing their existing knowledge of Excel.

Leo is a methodical and systematic tutor. He has his way of explaining mathematical concepts in a way that students can understand and build on.He has done a superb work in helping our son improve his understanding of Algebra and Geometry.

Leo is an all around great teacher. He increased my son's grades in as little as a few classes. My son used to dislike Algebra, but with Leo he has a better time learning. He is currently helping my son with Geometry. Soon I will have Leo tutoring my other son to get ready for ACT and SAT because I know that Leo will be a big help.

Leo worked with my daughter in Algebra 1, specifically in Data Analysis and Quadratic functions and helped her tremendously. Having a child that has some learning differences requires finding a tutor that has knowledge and patience and Leo has been a great help. He not only taught but helped build confidence in the material, which is key for kids like mine. Not only that he did it in a way in which my daughter looked forward to the sessions. I highly recommend Leo!!!

I was skeptical about virtual tutoring at first, but all the tools we needed were available and Leo had away of explaining things that just made sense. I highly recommend him to anyone struggling with Math.

ACT Math,
Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

As a former SAT Math instructor for the Princeton Review, I have been tutoring for standardized tests since 2010. I focus my ACT math instruction on a two tier approach: content and strategy. Students will typically have already learned the content they need to know for the ACT by the time they take the test, but they may be out of practice, and may have even forgotten some of the topics. In addition, the ACT math section is designed to be tricky, so students may have never been exposed to the types of questions or the specific ways the questions are asked. For this reason, I review the academic concepts tested on the ACT, as well as teach the best approaches for problem solving. I show my students time saving tips, tricks, and shortcuts that can increase scores on the ACT.

I am a Massachusetts licensed math teacher, and former instructor for The Princeton Review. I have been tutoring since 2010, and am an expert on helping students succeed at Algebra 1 – solving for “x”, functions, system of equations, inequalities, ratios & proportions, isolating variables, manipulating equations, graphing, working with polynomials, understanding word problems, etc. I can help with homework, classwork, and test prep – I have personally taught using the Common Core standards, so I am familiar with the requirements and procedures. Since math is pyramid and relies on prior knowledge, I try to fill any academic gaps to ensure that students are successful in both Algebra 1, and subsequent math disciplines. Algebra can be a tricky subject because it introduces foreign concepts and ideas - for this reason, I not only teach students how to solve problems, but also explain why the methods work. This approach pushes students to develop independence in solving problems and gain a deeper understanding of math. I help instill confidence and reduce test anxiety through positive reinforcement, so students believe in their abilities to succeed.

I am a Massachusetts licensed math teacher, and former SAT Math instructor for The Princeton Review. I am an expert in helping students succeed in Algebra 2, and can help with homework, classwork, and test prep – I have personally taught using the Common Core standards, so I am familiar with the requirements and procedures. Because most students take Algebra 2 two years after Algebra 1 (with Geometry in between), they forget some of the concepts they learned and struggle with new material. For this reason, I work with my clients to fill academic gaps (content from previous disciplines including Algebra 1, Geometry, etc.) to ensure that they are successful in Algebra 2 and beyond.

I have been tutoring for standardized tests since 2010, including as an SAT Math and English teacher for The Princeton Review. Most students taking the ASVAB actually learned the material years ago, but may hot have practiced it since high school or earlier. They may have forgotten some of the skills they learned, and need a refresher on the content. For this reason, I focus my ASVAB tutoring on both teaching new concepts, as well as reviewing previously learned content and filling any academic gaps. Through a combination of positive reinforcement, patience, and practice problems, I help instill confidence so students are prepared for the ASVAB on test day.

As a former Massachusetts licensed full time math teacher, I taught in a classroom setting according to the Common Core standards. I designed mini units and lesson plans to model the math standards by domain. My pedagogy was consistent with Bloom’s Taxonomy and focused on content differentiation. In addition, I have experience teaching Common Core to students with IEPs and ISPs for ADHD, ODD, Anxiety, Depression, and Trauma, who benefit from a more personalized approach to instruction.

I am a Massachusetts licensed math teacher with Common Core teaching experience. I a happy to help with Elementary Math homework, classwork, test preparation, and confidence building! Topics I cover include: arithmetic, decimals/fractions/percents, number operations, graphing, properties of numbers, units & measurement, algebraic thinking, etc. I can also help with Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and beyond - solving for “x”, inequalities, functions, geometry, ratios & proportions, isolating variables, manipulating equations, graphing, working with polynomials, understanding word problems, etc. I can help with homework, classwork, and test prep - I have personally taught using the Common Core standards, so I am familiar with the requirements and procedures. I have Geometry, SAT Math, High School Classwork Help, and Homework Preparation. I am a Massachusetts licensed teacher, with both 1-1 private tutoring experience (Princeton Review), as well as classroom teaching experience (Department of Youth Services).

I have been playing guitar since 2000, and have been a private instructor for years. I can help you learn your favorite songs from any style, and can teach music theory, scales, and improvisation techniques. My influences are rooted in blues rock, and I can teach anything from Top 40 songs to 80s hair metal.

I am Massachusetts licensed math teacher and former SAT tutor for The Princeton Review. I can help with all 3 level of the ISEE - lower, middle, and upper. I am an expert on standardized tests and focus my lessons on both content and strategy. I will not only teach the academic concepts tested on the ISEE, but also show the best approaches for problem solving. In addition, because the ISEE is a timed test that can be stressful for many students, I instill confidence and reduce anxiety through positive reinforcement, so students feel ready on test day.

I have been using Microsoft Excel for work purposes since 2010. I am expert on using Excel for business analytics (ROI, P&L, Cost/Benefit Analysis etc.), financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting. I can help with pivot tables, formula writing, graphing, and other spreadsheet building requirements. I frequently used Excel worksheets in presentations to C-Level executives, business partners, and clients, so I am happy to assist with putting together decks and collateral.

I am a licensed math teacher with experience in math content pedagogy as well as classroom management. I currently tutor many clients who are studying for various standardized assessments which test the same concepts as the Praxis (Algebra, Geometry, Functions, Probability etc.) I passed all the required MTELs on the first try and am up to date on the current pedagogy philosophies including Bloom's Taxonomy and Content Differentiation.

Prealgeba is one of the most important math disciplines because it the foundation for all subsequent math topics including Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and standardized test math including the PSAT, SSAT, SAT, ACT, and even GRE. As a Massachusetts licensed Middle School Math Teacher and former SAT Math tutor for The Princeton Review, I see firsthand how important prealgebra is to success in high school math and in standardized tests for college admittance. For this reason, I work with my students to ensure that they have a solid understanding of the building blocks of math, so that they feel confident moving forward. I am happy to help with prealgebra homework, classwork, and test prep.

I am a former SAT Instructor for The Princeton Review, and Massachusetts licensed math teacher. I have been tutoring SAT Math (as well as all other sections) for 7+ years. I build my lessons on a two tier approach: content and strategy. I teach both the academic concepts tested (Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, etc.), as well as the best methods for problem solving (Picking Your Own Number, Plugging In, etc.). Standardized tests, especially the SAT math sections, are designed to be tricky, so understanding how to approach a math problem is at least as important as knowing the content itself. For this reason, I show my students time saving tips, tricks, and shortcuts that can increase scores on the SAT. I help instill confidence and reduce test anxiety through positive reinforcement, so students believe in their abilities to succeed on test day.
