BFA Massachusetts College of Art & Design (Photography)
I am a Boston based artist specializing in photography, photobooks, and fashion design. I work as a freelance event photographer, from weddings to birthday parties. If you need help learning how to use your DSLR or maybe learn how to use your old school 35mm, I'm here for you. I've worked with a variety of cameras, from 35mm, to medium format 120 film and large format 4x5 sheet film. I've worked with both color and black and white film, and digital color editing. With me you'll learn how to use a camera correctly and color edit your RAW images.
I also love preparing students for the college portfolio application. It's a lengthy process and sometimes a confusing one! Learn from someone who went through the process as well. If you need to develop your portfolio for college applications, I'd be glad to help!
I work primarily with Photoshop and Lightroom when photo editing. I also use InDesign for creating photobook layouts. In terms of fashion design, I use Illustrator to create fashion illustrations and digital textiles. When not working on photo based work, I paint and draw, I work with acrylic paints and water colors.
With my minor in Fashion Design, I know how to pattern draft, cut, sew, and create garments.
My portfolio is available to view upon request. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions! I'd be glad to help you grow and achieve your artistic needs. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
