I am an a certified Elementary/Special Education teacher who has taught on all grade levels from Kindergarten to 8th grade. I have an excellent track record working with children who have attention and/or behavior problems. I am a skilled at teaching reading to students who are having a challenging time learning to read. I am also proficient at early literacy skills and can help children develop their early writing skills. I have taught study skills and am able to help students develop the skills they need to complete homework and projects. I can also teach communication skills developing vocabulary and language.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
