I am a skilled writer with the requisite education and experience to tutor students about not only the fundamentals of writing but also how to create essays and papers that demonstrate advanced critical and analytical thinking abilities in a succinct and articulate manner. I obtained an undergraduate degree in English from Providence College, where I attained a 3.8 GPA, tutored student-athletes and played Division I Tennis.
I am also able to tutor students in certain science subjects including Biology, Physics, Geology, Anatomy and introductory Chemistry courses. I understand these disciplines not only theoretically and in a formulaic way but also with regards to practical application. I understand both the complexity of details in the aforementioned areas and also how they contribute to a larger world view. I try to teach and present the material to the student in a way that is understandable and accessible.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am currently taking an advanced course in Molecular Cellular Biology at the graduate level as part of a Masters program.I know many concepts related to DNA, genes and chromosomes as far as structure and function are concerned.I am also knowledgeable about basic metabolic and catalytic processes related to protein synthesis and DNA replication.
I was a high school all-scholastic, all-star and league MVP. I set a school record for the total number of goals scored. I was recruited to play tennis in college however I could have probably played Division I soccer. In addition, I possibly could have played professional soccer.
I was ranked in New England as a teenager. I won every League match I played for the four years of high school. I won a partial scholarship to play tennis at Providence College, which is a Division I school. I have taught tennis independently and for several organizations.
I graduated with a 3.8 GPA in English from Providence College.
