College of the Holy Cross (Biology)
My name is Kimberly and my nickname is Kim. I will be a junior at College of the Holy Cross and I am a Biology major on the pre-med track. I have experience in tutoring as I was an SAT tutor for Juniors and Seniors at North and South High school and Worcester, MA at the Verizon Mobile Learning Lab for a little over a year.
During this time, I did not only focus on SAT prep, but for each of my assigned student I tried to be a mentor and in general speak about whatever they wanted to and even give advice based on my experience in school in order to create a comfortable environment.
I also volunteer as a Youth Leader at my church and have a lot of experience working with younger kids from newborns to pre-teens and even older. I also have a younger brother aged 9 and I generally assist him in his studies as well. I love tutoring because it feels good to aid others in being successful and thriving to be the best they can be.
I took AP English in High School and completed an English course at my college.
I tutor and aid my younger brother who is in fourth grade with all his elementary work in all subjects.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
