Amherst University of Massachusetts (Chemistry, Biology)
I graduated from Umass Amherst in 2015 with 2 bachelors degrees, B.S. in Chemistry, and B.S. in biochemistry and molecular biology. Before Umass, I graduated from Cape Cod Community College with an Associates Degree in Science, Math, and Pre-engineering. I currently am employed as a Professional Tutor (part-time) through Cape Cod Community College. I have been very successful tutoring students in all levels of chemistry, biology and math. I also worked for a year as a bench chemist, where I gained valuable experience in a lab environment regulated by federal agencies (EPA, FDA).
I have helped students gain admission to many health science programs including nursing, dental hygiene, pharmacy, dental, and medical school. I can tutor for preparation for standardized tests including ACT, SAT, GRE, MCAT and more. I have a passion for teaching science, I hope to apply to graduate school in the next year to obtain my phD in chemistry, in order to teach full time at the college level. I am certified to teach high school chemistry and biology. I am very invested in the success of every student I tutor, and I take my job very seriously.
I can provide references from many students I have tutored at your request.
I have taken math through college level differential equations, including all algebra, geometry, trigonometry, precalculus , single and multivariable calculus ( calc 1-3), Linear Algebra, and Differential Equations. I also can tutor math related to all subjects of science, including general, analytical, and physical chemistry (Quantum mechanics, and thermodynamics). I can tutor general physics (calculus based) equivalent to a first year course for science majors covering Newtonian mechanics, electricity, and magnetism. I can help with introductory and elementary statistics courses as well (calculus or non calculus based).
I have 2 bachelors degrees in science (chemistry and biochemistry and molecular biology) I Have taken advanced graduate science classes including advanced physical chemistry (statistical mechanics/thermodynamics), quantum mechanics, instrumental analysis, genetics, cancer genetics, chemical biology, and tissue engineering.
I can tutor all levels of undergraduate chemistry, biology, biochemistry, and molecular biology.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
