Hi! my name is Jim R. and I am a former high school history, psychology, and economics teacher and I am currently working in admissions at Northeastern University. I would love to become your tutor and work with you on a range of subjects including reading, writing, SAT prep, social studies, and basic mathematics (algebra/geometry).
I have a passion for teaching, coaching, and mentoring with a method of positive reinforcement to foster student achievement. I would love to share my time and knowledge with you in the hopes that our efforts combined will obtain our goal--to make you a better student in and out of the classroom.
I have a knowledge of basic algebra 1 and I served as a volunteer tutor for high school freshman for over five years in algebra 1.
I have a vast knowledge stemming from classes in college writing and historical writing. I was also a volunteer tutor for high school students in both English and Writing.
I have taught economics for over five years at the high school level and I have taken many supplemental classes/seminars in economics both at the macro and micro levels.
I have a BA in History and I have taught high school World and US History for over five years.
I have been a football coach for over 9 years and not only does that qualify as a great coaching resource but also as a great mentor outside of the classroom environment.
If you want to learn from an highly energetic and passionate tutor with a well-rounded knowledge base please contact me. I will try my best to make learning fun and to reach our goal of making you a better student both inside and outside of the classroom!
I look forward to meeting you!
Jim
