Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Elementary (K-6th)

I am certified in Moderate Disabilities Pre-K to eighth grade in the Commenwealth of Massachusetts. In the past year I was a long-term Special Education substitute for grade 6 in Pepperell, MA and am a long-term Special Education substitute for grades 3 and 4 in Concord, MA. I have also worked as a Title I Certified Instructor for grades 1 to 5 for 3 years in Manchester, NH. I am trained in Wilson Foundations, multiplication mission math, Touchmath, and guided reading.

Phonics

I am currently working with 3rd grade students using the Fundations Level 3 phonics program. I have also taught phonics to 2nd and 3rd graders using the LLI (Leveled Literacy Intervention) program. I taught this program through a summer school program for two consecutive summers.
