It seems like a strange mix but my areas of expertise are Architecture and related design fields as well as some specific areas of athletics.
I currently work as an Architect designing health care facilities as well as several pro-bono projects around the world. This requires me to use extensive CAD and BIM programs as well as graphic programs like Photoshop. The core programs I have formal training in are as follows:
I also have working knowledge of Revit, 3D StudioMax and a few others but would hardly call myself an expert.
As for athletics, I went to college and competed in Track & Field at a Div 1 school in Indiana. My main events were the Triple Jump and the 200. I also competed in the 100 and 400 hurdles. What made me competitive was my technique.
I have also been training in TaeKwonDo for 27 years and have competed at the highest levels. I have owned and operated a studio for the past 18 years.
Although I don't work as a teacher, I have taken and passed the Massachusetts State Teachers Exam and am qualified to hold a classroom position.
I know my areas of expertise are a little eclectic, but it is who I am. It seems like a strange mix but my areas of expertise are Architecture and related design fields as well as some specific areas of athletics.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am proficient at AutoCAD for use in Architectural applications. I will be able to help students set up drawings and teach them about common commands as well as drawing management. We will go over everything from simple line drawings, creation of blocks, layer management and xref protocol. These skills will give you familiarity with industry standard methods on the use of AutoCAD.
I am a former owner of a Martial Arts school and a fourth degree black belt in Taekwondo. I have been a practitioner for almost 30 years and have taught everything from children, adults, women's self defense and defense tactics for law enforcement. I also have experience in juijitsu, krav maga and other assorted martial arts.
For the last 30 years I have been teaching seminars on Martial Arts to large groups. I have also spent the last several years on the speaking circuit giving presentations on sustainable healthcare design in architecture. My public speaking experience has been in both the educational setting as well as the presentation setting.
I have also had to use programs like PowerPoint to effectively communicate my message without boring the attendees.
I was a D1 college track athlete who focused on the sprints, hurdles and horizontal jumps (long and triple). My best event was the triple jump in college. In high school my strength was the high hurdles but the increased height in college made it difficult for me to maintain proper form and speed.
