I'm a very experienced and patient Math Tutor with a wide math background and a Ph.D. in Math from West Virginia University. I teach high school through college students and can teach in person or, if convenient, via Skype. I don't want to take your tests or quizzes, so I may need to verify in some way that I'm not doing that! If you happen to be Mandarin Chinese I know a little of your language: yi, ar, san, si ...

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I took a beginning differential equations class in college. I've taken real and complex analysis at different levels as an undergraduate and as a graduate student. I tutored differential equations in many sessions during my 12 years as a professional tutor and distance educator for Pearson Education.
I've taught Discrete Mathematics for undergraduates at SUNY Cortland. Each student's course content will depend upon the textbook and the instructor's emphasis.
Linear algebra includes various aspects of theory of systems of linear equations, matrices, vector spaces, linear transformations, difference equations and the basics of Markov chains. I received an A in this class at Wisconsin. I've tutored the subject out of Lay's textbook, Linear Algebra, and I was hired by the publisher to review the online coursework for the same book. I'm familiar with some of the software and calculators (primarily TI-84) used for Linear Algebra courses. But I'm best if I can prepare a lesson - so I'd need to know what you want to review in particular.
