Fitchburg State University (Business Admin.)
American International College, Springfield, MA (Graduate Coursework)
I was born in Lowell, Massachusetts, and now reside with my Fiance in Leominster, Massachusetts. I am a 7th grade math teacher in Lowell and I also coach baseball at a High School. I graduated from Fitchburg State University in 2012 with my Bachelor's in Business Management and a minor in professional writing. Upon graduation, I went immediately into day-to-day substitute teaching, which landed me a role as a long-term substitute teacher, teaching Geometry and Algebra II. I immediately fell in love with the job. That's when I realized I wanted to be a teacher.
The next school year (2013-2014), I became a teacher's assistant at a Middle School. I worked in the special education room with approximately 25 students. I loved my job there and became very close with my students. I began working towards passing the Mathematics teachers' exam (MTEL). I passed the exam and received my initial license.
The next school year is when I finally realized my dream of becoming a classroom teacher. I accepted a job as a 7th grade Math teacher at another Middle School in Lowell. This is the position I am currently in.
I am expected to graduate from American International College in the Fall of 2015 with my Master's Degree in Middle School Education with a concentration in Mathematics.
My goal each and every day is to put students in a position to succeed. I fully understand that not all students learn in the same way and my philosophy is undoubtedly to give all students multiple tools and enable them to thrive using whichever method suits their learning style.
I have a passion for the game of baseball that is second to none. I have played through high school, legion, and college baseball. Following my graduation from Fitchburg State University, I started my coaching career.
I also work as a private instructor out of Sports and Fitness club in Lowell. I give one-on-one lessons, group lessons, and work camps and clinics. I have worked with athletes from ages 5-18 years old. Lessons include pitching, hitting, fielding, catching, and more.

I believe in teaching the fundamentals of the game from a young age, all through high school. I try not to change too much of the hitter's swing, but rather tweak it, putting him in the best position to succeed.
