I have my Masters in Education (regular and special education) and my undergraduate degree in Psychology. Over the past 20 years I have taught in a variety of different school settings. I understand how to work with and appreciate children who have ADD/ADHD. I have taught and supported many students who have various degrees of ADD/ADHD and understand that each child is completely different and needs a different approach. I know that medication is not the answer for every situation. There is not a one size fits all when working with kids who have ADD/ADHD.

Excellent tutor

Marlo is an excellent tutor: she is patient and encouraging. Marlo is prompt, reliable, organized and personable. She is knowledgeable of Wilson method and keeps my child focused and on task. In addition to her lesson, she plays card games for a fun activity. Marlo is sweet and I recommend her as a tutor.

Outstanding Tutor

The instructor, Marlo W, goes into great detail, breaking down each type of problem and giving my child tips on how to recognize what, exactly, they’re being asked to do in each particular problem. She offers key words to tell her clients which operation to use and gives practical suggestions on how to figure out each problem, such as drawing diagrams. Marlo, coordinating schedules, matching personality types and finding a convenient location is one of the many reasons we chose her. She offers accommodations to fit my child's unique needs. In making our decision, it's important to find qualified and screened tutors, a pricing plan that works for us and the right curriculum for the our child. When you come to Grade Potential for tutoring, you get more than extra instruction in a particular subject matter — you get personalized, one-on-one support catered to your child's learning style and needs. Marlo as a tutor does not treat every client the same or offer the same cookie-cutter methods to each student. Instead, she gets to know her clients in their environment and work to find ways that will help them understand new concepts and ideas. Marlo is talented, skilled professional who knows how to work with students to create positive outcomes. That’s why the personalized tutoring that Marlo provided truly worked.

Learning CAN Be Fun!

I am so pleased that we have found Marlo. She is a wonderful tutor for my daughter. Marlo is very punctual, professional, and seems very eager to educate my child. My daughter was struggling with math and only being in 2nd grade that was concerning to me. However, Marlo has created lessons in math that are fun and exciting for my daughter, she was once scared of math! But no more. Marlo continues to patiently educate my daughter in most all 2nd grade curriculum, including fun and hands on experiments as well as fun crafts! My daughter is never bored with learning nor does she display any anxiety when it comes to any subject thanks to Marlo!
