About Meghan

Hi!
My name is Meghan. I have fourteen years of teaching experience in both regular (elementary) education and special education. I taught first and second grade for seven years in Norwood and moved out to California where I was a Resource teacher for students in grades K-6 and a Special Day class (self-contained) for 5th/6th graders for seven years. I will be moving back to the Boston area on June 30th. I spend the summers on Cape Cod at my parents' summer residence.

Throughout my years of teaching, I have worked with students who have varying degrees of abilities. I love being a teacher and trying to find ways to help students learn is one of my strengths. I work well with all students, especially students who do not learn in a typical way. I am a lover of children's books and teaching students how to read is one of my favorite parts of my job!

I am a compassionate, easy-going and loving teacher and my students are very important to me. As your child's tutor, I can assure you that I will treat them with kindness and find new ways to help him/her reach his/her potential. I have a great sense of humor and a lot of patience and I know that together we can achieve great things!

Best wishes in your search for the right tutor!

Fondly,
Meghan

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
