Salve Regina University (Economics)
University of Missouri- Kansas City (Master's)
My name is Clayton and my passion is macroeconomics and government finance. I earned my bachelors from Salve Regina University and my masters from the University of Missouri- Kansas City where I devoted much of my studies to the financial components of our economic system. I thoroughly enjoyed the "bigger" picture topics and classes and I hope to show you how interesting, complex, and fun the doldrum science can be.
I try to make my lessons engaging by using analogies and methods of simplification. Sometimes economics can get hairy, but with the right set of tools and approach, we can make the lessons easy and memorable, perfect for test time!
I spend significant time training new hires during my M-F job using the techniques I employ during my lessons and it has proven effective, now combine that with my passion for economics, and it'll be an enjoyable lesson for both of us. As for my qualifications, I achieved my Masters from UMKC where they specialize in Modern Money Theory. The chair of the department, who is now Chief Economist for one of the Presidential Campaigns, was my most prominent professor and mentor. Since graduating, I have had one of my works published in New Economic Perspectives and started teaching a lesson on Modern Money Theory at Salve Regina University.
I am open to all students who are looking for a little help to better understand specific ideas or topics, develop a thought provoking term paper, or dive into deep conversation and study of more complex economic theories and systems.
My true goal is to help develop your interest in economics so it becomes easy and exciting, resulting in better grades and scores.
