I believe every student has unique learning skills. Some are analytic while others are more visual or creative learners. My experience from teaching students of all ages has allowed me to be more adaptable to all types of students.
Even though it's a cliche, I strongly believe that learning should be fun. Also, no matter what the subject is, I try to relate the ideas & concepts to real life applications.
I look forward to working with you & helping you achieve your goals in education!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have in the past, and am currently working with students who are ADD/ADHD. It requires more patience and experience to successfully tutor these students. My methods include (1) determining what type of learning module works best with the student; i.e. Are they a visual learner?
Also, it is extremely important to spend extra time upfront, before teaching any lessons, in order to build Trust with the student.
Only after a certain level of trust is achieved, with both the student and the parent/guardian, then one can successfully work with ADD/ADHD students.

I am currently tutoring students for the ISEE exam and have successfully tutored students in the past for the ISEE exam. I have thoroughly reviewed the ISEE exam format materials from the only official version on the ISEE website. I have even personally completed all the practice questions and answers on the sample exam!
Additionally, I have researched the primary and important differences between the ISEE and the SSAT exams. I have researched the ISEE's scoring system and understand its complexities. I have done so in order to better advise students and their parents as to which exam may be more suitable for their circumstances.
