Framingham State University (Food and Nutrition)
My interest in nutrition made me rethink a 23-year career in nursing and I returned to school to become a registered dietitian. As a recent cum laude graduate from the food and nutrition program at Framingham State University (registered dietitian eligible) I understand that hard work and dedication can pay off. I have worked with other students in the past to help them understand coursework as well as to complete projects required by many nutrition courses. I have been involved with helping to educate patients, clients and students on all aspects of nutrition and enjoy breaking down complex topics into easily understood information.
I am also Serv Safe certified and can assist those students who are taking food service related classes and need help passing the Serv Safe test.
I specialize in all aspects of nutrition related topics from covering general nutrition to school, food service, community and medical nutrition therapy. If you are struggling with a nutrition class or would like assistance with a project you are working on I can help. Working with you to help you achieve your goals is my priority.
I am flexible with my time but do require a 24 hour cancellation notice (make up classes can be rescheduled). I encourage students to have a quiet and comfortable space to work. We can discuss topics to be covered or assignments being worked on prior to the tutoring session if desired. Please prepare any questions you might have to help maximize the time we can devote to covering material.
I look forward to helping you achieve your success! My interest in nutrition made me rethink a 23-year career in nursing and I returned to school to become a registered dietitian. As a recent cum laude graduate from the food and nutrition program at Framingham State University
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a BA in Food and Nutrition from Framingham State University. I was on the Dean's list multiple times and graduated cum laude. I have completed the didactic program as well as the required 1,200 hour internship in order to sit for the registered dietitian boards.
