Connecticut College (undecided)
I went to St. John's Prep and graduated in 2014 a member of the National Honor Society. I am fluent in German and proficient in Spanish, as well as being selected to be a tutor in the writing center at Connecticut College. I was also selected to be a presidential scholar at Connecticut College. I love teaching and the moment when a student's eyes light up and the subject makes sense to them, and I look forward to helping any students I can.
I have studied German for five years and Spanish for three. In my first year at Connecticut College, I took classes in both German and Spanish literature, both taught in the languages by native speakers.
I took AP English classes both junior and Senior year at St. John's, and was recommended to be a tutor in the Roth Writing Center by a professor in my first semester of college.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I recently completed my first year of college, where I took a senior-level German class taught by a native speaker in German. I have been studying the language for 6 years and enjoy engaging with it and speaking it any chance I get.
I test very well and can pass on tips on test taking, and I am also a talented writer and student of language.
