In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I speak and write standard Mandarin Chinese since I grew up and worked as a Chinese-English translator in Beijing, China. I obtained a master's degree in teaching, although it is in Teaching English as a Second Language. The theory, concept, and practice of teaching second language or foreign language are integrated.
I'm a home baker/cook baking Chinese and western pastries and cooking Chinese food. Whenever I'm confident with one desert or dish, I would take step by step pictures, which can be provided if required. I love working in the kitchen and willing to share all my experience with the person loves it as well.
