I am an English teacher who is certified to teach English 5-12. I majored in both German and English from Western Michigan University and have experience teaching both subjects. I am half German and half Swedish, and am very proud to help other learn the German language if they want to be able to write and/or speak the language fluently, or just want to learn the language to prepare for travel to Deutschland. I have taught German and English in Germany, and I taught for a summer at the Robert Wetzlar Berufskolleg in Bonn, Germany in 2002. I thoroughly enjoyed my teaching experiences in Germany and try to make frequent trips there. If you are a student who loves to try new things, you should try learning German and take in the German culture! I love teaching and look forward to helping others learn a new language.
Besides German, I have taught English for several years and thoroughly enjoy it. I have taught American and British Lit. My main focus is on literary interpretation and creative writing. If there is anyone who needs help with middle school or high school English, I would be delighted to help. I am an English teacher who is certified to teach English 5-12. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
