Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Discrete Math

I have a bachelor's degree in Economics and a master's degree in math education. I am in my 10th year of teaching high school math, and have also taught one semester of college algebra as an adjunct professor. I taught AP Statistics last year and believe that I am qualified to teach discrete math.

MTLE

I have been a high school math teacher for 10 years and have a master's degree in math education. I have had extensive experience for all levels of learners from students in sub-separate learning disabled students all the way to advanced placement students. I believe that I am more than qualified to tutor someone in the math MTLE 53 exam.

Special Needs

I have been a high school math teacher for 10 years and have a master's degree in math education. I have taught all levels of students, including many students with learning disabilities. I have also taught sub-separate students with significant learning disabilities in an inclusion classroom. I have a son who is developmentally delayed who is a high school junior whom I help with his math schoolwork.
