My first experience with tutoring was a few years ago when I volunteered as a math tutor at Boston Latin School, a reputable school in Massachusetts. My first experience with tutoring was a few years ago when I volunteered as a math tutor at Boston Latin School, a reputable school in Massachusetts. I tutored subjects such as Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry to middle school and high school students. From that experience, I discovered that I enjoy spreading knowledge to others and being patient with students until they use the tools I help give them to solve the problem on their own. In both my professional, and personal life, I enjoy this sort of teaching.
Currently, I tutor a variety of mathematics subjects as well as Computer Science areas, and some standardized tests. I scored the full 800 points on my math SAT test, and more recently I scored above the 90th percentile in most categories of the GRE. I would describe my general tutoring style as laid back but simultaneously motivating students to push themselves and be the best they can be with their given subject material. I am currently working toward the first step of an NTA certification, and another goal I have is to expand my repertoire to more complex versions of math such as calculus. For the most part, I am comfortable tutoring online but I would travel if the location was close to me.
I have loved math and numbers ever since I was a child, and I have consistently had top-notch performance on a variety of math based knowledge measures. I did extremely well on the math SAT and GRE math tests, and I love spreading knowledge about math.
