Bio

I am an AP Economics teacher in my late 30s. I have been teaching at a high school south of Boston for over twelve years and I have helped hundreds of students succeed on the AP Microeconomics and AP Macroeconomics exams. I graduated magna cum laude from Boston College with a degree in Economics. I earned my master's degree in Teaching and Curriculum at Harvard.

I am an AP Economics teacher in my late 30s. I have been teaching at a high school south of Boston for over twelve years and I have helped hundreds of students succeed on the AP Microeconomics and AP Macroeconomics exams. I graduated magna cum laude from Boston College with a degree in Economics. I earned my master's degree in Teaching and Curriculum at Harvard.

High schoolers often find AP Economics to be a challenging course because its concepts are completely new to them. Students have studied subjects like Math or English for years by the time they get to high school, but very few high schoolers have prior experience with Economics when taking this class. Accordingly, my first priority when working with a student is to make sure that he or she understands the essential concepts of Economics because these concepts come up again and again throughout the course.

This focus on the essential concepts helps students see the big picture of Economics and understand the subject's value. I find Economics to be endlessly interesting, and one of my goals is to instill in my students a love of the subject. Many of my students have decided to major in Economics after studying with me.

If your child is struggling in his or her AP Economics class, I would love to work with you. I have helped many students for whom Economics was their first AP class master the material and pass the exams. I have also helped many high achievers earn 5's on the exams.

Whether you would like your child to have one or two review sessions prior to an exam or a weekly tutoring session to ensure he or she masters the subject, I would be happy to help.

I graduated magna cum laude from Boston College with a degree in Economics. I have been teaching AP Economics at a public high school south of Boston for over ten years. In 2015 one of my students earned a perfect score on the AP Macroeconomics exam, one of only 22 students in the world to do so out of over 120,000 who took the exam. AP Economics is the only subject that I tutor. A True Professional

Paul is my 16 year old daughter’s tutor in Economics. Why look elsewhere when you have found the best. Thanks to Paul for clarifying Economics in what could have been a very stressful course for my daughter to study given that she has never studied a subject remotely similar before (My daughter’s strengths are in English and Science).
