About Rebecca

Rebecca is a certified Special Education teacher, specializing in mild/moderate disabilities (such as ADHD, Specific Learning Disabilities, etc.). She has worked with students in grades K-12, and currently works at the high school level. Rebecca loves engaging with students of all ages, and truly personalizing the tutoring experience for each individual.

Rebecca is specialized in supportive coaching to improve Executive Functioning (organization, prioritization, time management, etc.) as well as teaching specific strategies to improve reading, writing, and math. These skill sets would be most effective for young people who may need some extra support to fit their unique learning style into the rigors and standards of the traditional school experience.

Study skills includes methods for improving memory and increasing test/school performance. Rebecca assesses each student's unique strengths, then tailors the particular study skills strategies to that student.

Rebecca has worked extensively with students with and without Special Needs. Her teaching philosophy is that we are all humans with distinct learning needs, and therefore each student can be successful once he/she has the appropriate supports in place. Rebecca's goal is always independence, so the focus is on developing strategies for students which can eventually be generalized to any situation.

Rebecca looks forward to building a strong rapport with all her students and families. Please contact her to learn more about how Executive Functioning Coaching can change your child's life at school!
