Fitchburg State University (Special Education)
I am currently a student at Fitchburg State University. My major is special education with a psychology minor. I have previously worked at Boston College summer camp for two years with children ages 4-12! The past two summers I have worked at the Italian Home for Children, a place for kids in crisis, as an assistant teacher. They suffer from either emotional, behavioral or mental special needs. Working with children has always been my passion. I hope I get the chance to work with you and your family!
I am a fantastic vocabulary tutor because I have multiple approaches that children can use in order to learn new words and their definitions!
I have so much experience with children in the elementary age group. I have been an assistant teacher for three summers, so helping children with their material and how to work through it without getting frustrated is my passion.
I have a lot of experience with children who have special needs. The school I work at during the summer is a school for special needs children.
I encourage all parents to sign their children up for tutoring. If your child is falling behind or just needs that extra push to do their school work, I recommend a great tutor! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
