Fitchburg State University (undergrad)
Hi my name is Chris Lounsbury. I am 22-year old and am finishing my Bachelors in Science for Exercise and Sport Science at Fitchburg State University. I am looking to tutor children or adults of any age for basketball, strength, training, and injury prevention. I have played basketball my whole life both at the competitive level and recreational as a point guard. During my college years I received two major injuries to my ankle and foot, which hindered my performance and took me about 2 years to fully recover. This is why I would incorporate injury prevention for ankles and knees by strengthening and stabilizing the muscles that surround those ares. In order to play at the next level it is important to strength train to be able to last through the season and perform at your best. Since I have played basketball at all different levels I know the roles of each position, how to teach offense and defense fundamentals, how to train conditioning, footwork, speed, agility, shooting mechanics, dribbling drills, and more.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
