I have completed several public speaking courses at Bristol Community College while working to complete my Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice. Moreover, I have acted as a spokesperson for several nonprofit organizations for over 10 years, and I have spoken to large groups, and made appearances on television and radio on behalf of said organizations to raise awareness and funds for their cause.
I am also quite versed n civics/political science/history and am majoring in this for my bachelor's degree. I have also been involved in local government for 20 years, and I have assisted on election campaigns and ballot initiative campaigns for local and statewide office, including managing the election and re-election campaigns for my father's candidacy for Board of Public works in our hometown.
I have provided instruction in both of these topics for over 10 years as a Merit Badge Counselor for the Boy Scouts of America, and have helped counsel Scouts working to earn their Citizenship(s), Communications, and Public Speaking Merit Badges.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have written and edited speeches for political candidates, and have delivered speeches on a variety of topics including Scouting, Shriners, clowning, and other topics. I have also presented informative and instructive lectures on public speaking, civics, and a variety of other topics to groups of various sizes.
