I look forward to working with you! For years I have taught both adults and children.
Most recently I have taught ESL/ESOL at a community college and also at a work place setting. For several years I tutored reading and math to elementary school students after school. Also, for 5 years I taught English to public school students ranging from kindergarten to 10th grade in a town outside of Boston. Yes, I love variety!

My undergraduate degree was in both Anthropology and Spanish. After that, I completed my teaching certification in Connecticut and taught elementary school there. I moved to Boston for my Master's in Social Work and since then have worked both as a counselor and as an educator.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
