I have been teaching at Cathedral for two years going to my third. During those two years I have met a lot wonderful people including students, teachers, faculty members, and parents. I have grown as a person and as a teacher, my goal is to meet the need of all my students and help them in any way that I possibly can.
I attended to Oklahoma State University, during that time I received recognition for my excellence in both classroom and baseball. After I played three years of division 1 baseball, I played professional baseball for the Laredo Lemurs and the Evansville Otters. I am eager to start working and helping students using my knowledge and teaching experience.
I like to make teaching fun and I always try make sure that all my students learn and have fun at the same time. I also make sure that all of my students get the support they need to learn better. Learning another language is really hard but nothing is hard to do when you have the desire, motivation, and determination to accomplish something.
Spanish is my first language and I have been teaching for four years. I’m the current Spanish Teacher at Cathedral High School. I have taught different course levels, I have also taught Spanish during summer school. I am passionate about the Spanish language and the various cultures that surround it along with the success the students within Spanish class. What makes me an outstanding tutor is the desire to help others.
One of my goal is to promote confidence and provide background knowledge for the beginning of the school year and the lifelong endeavor of language learning. I will do the best I can to help students distinguish between different cultures and languages throughout the Spanish-speaking world. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
My experience as a Spanish teacher at Cathedral High School has helped me to develop my teaching skills. I have been working with students for the last four years and I am confident that my skills are well aligned with this position.
