My background is the foundation on what makes me a great tutor. It began when I attended Northeastern University and studied Mechanical Engineering Technology. I graduated in 1982 with a B.E.T.M.E.(Bachelor of Engineering Technology in Mechanical Engineering). After graduation, I worked at various companies as an Estimator and in 1985-1986 worked as an Associate Engineer at Kennedy Space Center. In the 1990's,I was certified to teach CPR and helped people of all ages to apply that skill to save lives. Since then, I took APB courses at Bridgewater State College and obtained my Preliminary license for teaching math for grades 5-12. As a result of having a license to teach, I applied my skills to tutoring at various agencies. The names of these agencies are as follows: Tutor R Us, Academic Edge, and Club Z. A reference letter from Academic Edge is available upon request. The courses I like to teach are Algebra and Trigonometry. I look forward to helping a student overcome their fear of math and find that it can be their friend.

I believe with my past experience, I can show how math can be used as a tool in the many projects we encounter at work or at home. Math does not have to be a bad experience; it can be enjoyable as well as useful. I look forward to sharpening your math skills.
