In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am native Russian speaker who has been living in the US for 13 years. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and a Diploma for teaching Social Studies.
I worked as a journalist in Ukraine before coming to the United States.
I've been working as a Russian language teacher here in America since 2006. I teach all levels and give group and individual lessons.
In 2013, I passed a 3-stage language proficiency test and received a Certificate of Proficiency in English and Russian in accordance with the Interagency Language Roundtable guidelines.
