I graduated from East Providence High School in 1981 and from New England Baptist Hospital School of Nursing, Boston, in 1984. I earned a BSN from UMass-Amherst in 1993 and an MS from UMass-Amherst in 1996. I became an ANCC Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner 1996.
I worked 25 years as an RN/NP. Throughout my career I have educated all levels of health care providers: paramedics, new employees, employees, and nursing students AD/BSN/MSN.
Academic achievement is not always a predictor of who will excel in hands-on nursing. I view my successes on the fact that I have found a profession that I truly love. And you? I'd love the opportunity to help you achieve academically so you can become the best nurse you can be.
How do I do what I do? It is rare that I do the same thing twice and will do whatever it is to help us figure out a way that helps you achieve your goals. Many colleges have tutoring services but there are times when that just isn't enough.
Often I help people prepare for the NCLEX exam but often many use my services in retaking the NCLEX exam for the second or third time. Sounds scary ? It isn't or doesn't have to be scary.
Try me! You will be glad you did... keep smiling.

I thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience that has given me a clearer understanding of the Nursing Process.
Your tutoring has made it easier and also very interesting in applying the vast amount of medical information to the fundamentals of Nursing.
After many lessons in a short period of time, I felt confident sitting for the NCLEX exam and have successfully passed !!!! I am now working as an RN in a sub acute facility. I am extremely pleased and satisfied with your lessons and tutoring. Thank you very much, it was a great pleasure having you as a teacher.
I without hesitation would recommend you in assisting other nursing students in their mission.
Wishing you all the best!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
