My name is Osamagbe, however, I go by Osa for short. I am a twenty-three year old, Georgia native, self-proclaimed Political Science Junkie. I recently graduated from Georgia State where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and African-American Studies. Currently, I am continuing my education at Georgia State where I am scheduled to graduate with my Master's in Political Science in the Spring of 2016!
My passion for politics and helping students blossom started at an early age. I have been tutoring informally as early as elementary school. In terms of formal experience, I have been tutoring for about seven years. A majority of my tutoring experience has primarily been with elementary and middle school students. However, I know that I can confidently and comfortably explain the material to older students (high school, college students and adults). My expertise in Political Science is evidenced by my induction into Pi Sigma Alpha (the national Honor's Society of Political Science), my involvement in a number of rigorous academic conferences and events, and my experience in the field where I have worked as an Legislative Aide at the Georgia State Legislature, an intern for the ACLU, etc.
As a Graduate student, I currently work within the department as a writing consultant where I help struggling students with their assignments. It is my responsibility to help students who are having a difficulties understanding the material and ergo, are having problems with their writing assignments. I work extremely well with students of all ages (from preschool-college) - particularly, with students that have behavioral challenges. Nonetheless, my ideal student would be an older student who is seeking some supplemental help. Whether you are looking to advance your knowledge or you are hoping to gain a better understanding of the subject, I can help you meet your goals. Even if you don't develop an affinity for the discipline, I want my students to leave each session thinking more critically, and ultimately feeling more confident than when they arrived.
I love politics, but I love working with students even more! I am confident that my work will yield positive results by presenting the material in a fun, challenging manner. I specialize in Government and Politics, Political Science, Social Studies, Sociology, and Reading and Writing. So, if you're looking for someone fun, energetic and challenging, I am at your service.

My daughter liked the way she started looking for her issues and identifying the difficulties and trying to fix them to improve and understanding the concepts. Nice to work with her.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am qualified in Political Science and Government/Civics.
I have been studying Political Science and Government at an advanced level since I was in high school.
