As an artist who also studied Law, I can tutor in several subjects, from Art History and Drawing, to American History and Government. Because I majored in French and my M.A. is in French Language and Literature, I can teach French. I have been certified for French in Mass schools and have spent time in France. Also I studied Spanish for over 8 years and have traveled in Spain and Mexico.
I currently have been teaching Art in a local College for 25 years. In 2004 I was awarded the Adjunct Faculty award for teaching. I have had very good students from all over the world, many who have gone on to art schools and careers in Art. My 5 kids all graduated from colleges and one is partner in his law firm on Wall Street. I have 7 grandchildren of different ages, all outstanding students. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
