Hamilton College (Physics)
I'm a graduate of Hamilton College where I majored in Physics. Here's an outline of my experience:
When I was in high school, I had a lot of experience tutoring children in middle school, where I volunteered for several hours at my school's Department of Enhanced Learning. The students I worked with really liked the fact that I was approachable, engaged and always willing to help them grow in their understanding.
I am really patient when communicating difficult concepts to younger students. I can personalize my style of teaching to the student.
SAT I Score: 2170 (Math - 770; Writing - 700; Critical Reading - 700)
SAT II Score: Physics - 780; Math Level 2 - 800
Physics and Math:
My Physics coursework included Physics Senior Research Project, Classical Mechanics, Quantum Physics, Electronics and Computers, Electromagnetism, Waves and Fields and The Mechanical Universe. My Math coursework included Statistical Analysis of Data (Minitab), Differential Equations, Linear Algebra and Advanced Calculus.
Programming and Computer Science:
I have experience with MATLAB, C and Python.
In college, I also studied introductory Psychology and Geoscience. In High School, I completed A Levels in Physics, Chemistry and Math affiliated with Cambridge International Examinations, UK and Edexcel, UK.
I have taken piano lessons since 2001, at the age of 8. I have passed all of the Graded Piano Exams assessed by the Royal Schools of Music, London, UK. In college, I also studied Solo Performance Piano under Sar Shalom Strong for six semesters. Vineeth is a very good tutor and has good understanding in Physics. My daughter is doing AP physics and he explained the topics and made it feel easier. My daughter felt very confident after the class.
The session was great, he was very eager to work thru problems and knew the subject matter. When the session was over felt like it had been very beneficial and I understood better then I had before.
Vineeth gave my daughter writing lesson. He is very patient and clear. He is also well prepared before the class. This is important.
Thorough! Focused on helping my daughter understand mathematical concepts by having her re-work problems that had previously caused her difficulty.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
SAT Math 1 - 800; SAT Math 2 - 800; College level Calculus, Linear Algebra and Differential Equations.
I have completed GCSE administered by Edexcel, London with in Mark's Gospel and Modern Christianity 97%. I also grew up in a religious school founded and maintained by missionaries for 9 years.
Studied advanced calculus, differential equations and linear algebra in college.
I worked at the Help Desk where we frequently dealt with Macbooks and iMacs. I troubleshot problems with hard drives, zapped the PRAM and reset SMC to make these machines work.
I have passed all 8 grades of Piano awarded by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. Furthermore, I have taken piano lessons in college, under a professional pianists for 6 semesters.
Several college level Math classes. High quantitative test scores.
I'm a college graduate from Hamilton College which places a special emphasis on being able to communicate through speech. I've delivered public speeches for several of my classes, as well as my senior thesis.
