I am a graduate student in Synthetic Biology at MIT. I received my undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and worked at, and founded, a few startups in biotech over the past few years. I'm now back in school to finish up my graduate degree.

In my spare time, I love to teach! Upon finishing college with a degree in the sciences, I dove head first into the world of engineering, and found out the hard way that the pedagogy between the two disciplines are remarkably different. I had to pick up most topics in engineering, math, and computer science on my own, and I found that teaching completes my learning; by teaching myself (and others) and thinking out aloud, I would find and fill in gaps in difficult concepts! If I can get students of different backgrounds to intimately understand a focused concept, then I have finally learned that concept myself.

Over the past 4 years, I have mentored students at MIT and Harvard in Math, Physics, Computer Science, Statistics, Chemistry, and Biology. I have lectured Harvard and MIT undergraduate courses and am an adviser to a number of undergraduate groups and competitive teams in STEM.

I am a very patient teacher and I change my teaching style as per the requirements of the student. I cannot imagine learning Math without adequately visualizing the problem. As a result, I use a lot of drawings and visual aids while I teach. I also believe in learning by doing, so get ready to solve a lot of problems in order to learn and gain intuition!

My availability is flexible during the week, both afternoons and evenings, and the weekend. Feel free to reach out with any questions!
