Thank you for considering hiring me as your tutor. As I have mastered (and continue to improve) my tutoring trade with thousands of hours of personalized instruction, you can rest assured that I will provide you with the most rewarding tutoring services you can find. Having already earned four (and working on five) engineering degrees from MIT and an MBA from Harvard Business School, I am your guy if you either need transformational change in your academic performance, or if you are looking to achieve the highest possible scores on standardized tests. My rigorous and comprehensive approach to tutoring primarily science, math, engineering, and programming is guaranteed to have significant impact if you are open to learning, and my track record of success is virtually flawless. Each of my students have come away from my sessions with a strong mastery of whatever material they seek to learn, and a newfound love of learning. It is my unparalleled attention to detail and focus on your success that commands my relatively high fees. If you are serious about mastering a subject or want to achieve exceptional testing results, please feel free to contact me and inquire about how I could serve you. I also provide guidance on university applications and to prospective consultants.

A bit about me: I grew up in a large and transient U.S. Army family that hopped back and forth between Europe and the United States. I entered MIT at age 17, where over the past decade I have completed bachelor's degrees in mechanical engineering and aerospace engineering, master's degrees in mechanical engineering and technology policy, and am in the process of completing my PhD in mechanical engineering. I am also an MBA candidate at Harvard Business School. As for industry experience, I have worked most recently as a generalist management consultant at McKinsey & Company, the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), and at Samsung's global headquarters in South Korea. I have also worked as an aerospace engineer at Boeing and automotive engineer at both BMW at their major engineering facility in Germany and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles at their headquarters in Michigan.

My approach to tutoring begins with significant inquiry and observation. I learn who my student is at both personal and work-related levels. I figure out what style of teaching serves you best, and I create a tailored program of instruction that is fluid and flexible so that I can provide you with the absolute best quality education for whatever subject matter you are wanting to master. I use a variety of tools, from practice exams to visual portrayals of concepts to hands-on exercises. My lessons are very interactive and engaging so that students are themselves leading their own learning and taking ownership of their academic trajectories, including their successes. I run very effective virtual sessions through Zoom and Skype for many of my students, which I find is highly effective. Lessons typically last 90 minutes each, and most of my students meet with me between 1 and 3 times per week.

I look forward to your inquiry regarding how we may embark together on a transformational educational journey.

I learned to code in high school when I was 13 years old, have taken all core computer science classes at MIT, and have programmed extensively throughout my master's and PhD programs while at MIT. I think computer science is a lot of fun if taught properly, and would be very happy to teach you whatever you would like to learn in this field! I like to teach core materials and then work on fun, related projects together with my students. I look forward to working with you!

Excellent teacher, very patient, focused and dedicated to his work

He helped me understand the concept of programming by explaining to me functions in Java how they work, analyzed to me the arrays why we use and we helped me with my exam kai my project!

Knowledgable, persistent

I've had four general physics tutorial sessions with Ian and my comprehension has increased significantly in a short amount of time. Ian goes through each problem thoroughly and does not move on unless you understand the concepts. He can verbally explain very complicated and very simple concepts with clarity and complement these with mathematical equations. I highly recommend Ian for university-level physics tutoring.
