I have taught in Rome, New York and Boston all subjects for elementary school, middle school and some high school. I get along with kids to young adults - I have a Master degree in Communication Disorders plus a Law degree and enjoy breaking down issues to an understandable level welcoming questions and explaining all in simple terms.

I have been a licensed attorney in Massachusetts since 1983. After law school I was an Assistant District Attorney in Norfolk County, MA where I prosecuted criminal cases. Thereafter I was a Special MA Assistant Attorney General for the Department of Labor and Industries - now the Labor department. I prosecuted case there as well as serving as a hearing officer for public bid law building contracts. I then worked in my own practice for many years handling the defense of criminal cases as well as real estate, social security and personal injury cases. Prior to this I was an music/opera singer having sung in Rome at the Rome Opera House and studied at the Santa Cecilia Academy in Rome where I lived for over a year. I am also a litigator. I became an attorney in 1983 and worked not only as an assistant district attorney but also as a defense attorney. I have coached people for public speaking. I have helped people get through the anxiety and voice issues to deliver effective presentations.I worked as a voice coach, having studied with president Kennedy's voice coach. I have worked for years providing therapy including remedial reading strategies which incorporates phonics. I organized language based classrooms in the Boston Public schools and served as a consultant to teachers which included consulting in areas having to do with phonics. I have a classical education including having studied Latin for 5 years. I also speak, read and write Greek as well as Italian. I have studied many of the Greek, Latin and Italian classics and have lived in those countries. I have studied Greek plays, Latin texts, art, architecture and have always had a special love for Homer, Euripedes, Aristotle, Sophocles, Socrates and mythology. I have studied music including music history since I was in high school. I attended the Conservatory for classical opera studies on scholarship while I was at Brandeis University. I also studied Opera for over one year at the Santa Cecilia Academy of Music in Rome, Italy. As an opera singer and a musician it has been crucial for me to know the history of music. It is very easy to learn about different historical music periods especially as I have a solid footing as a performed of various genres of music. I also studied piano and have a good footing with violin music.

I have a M.S. in Communication Disorders from Teachers' College, Columbia. I am a Speech and Language Pathologist. I worked for years with students who have ADD /ADHD. I also worked with survivors of traumatic brain injuries. I know compensatory strategies for how to handle time management, executive function, organization, processing issues and other factors that are challenging to students with ADD/ ADHD. I am very patient and calm. I have had to deal with this issue in my own family and the person has been able to excel in all undertakings, academic and other goals, so that they are leaders in their chosen fields...and very successful academically.

I have worked in hospitals and schools providing communication therapy to students including students who stutter. I am also a singer/musician and know multiple techniques to assist people who stutter. Breathing, singing, talking while exhaling are some tools that can help. I am not a threatening person. I also know many successful people who have achieved prominence despite their stuttering. Communication can improve!
